Flanagan was a reporter of the week for The Keith Olbermann Evening News. Flanagan has been working at ESPN since the year 2000. She was a reporter from the college football sidelines five years for ESPN. She worked as a sideline reporter during the College World Series the Women's Tennis Association's tour championships, men's basketball tournament and also for the NCAA Women's basketball tournament. Flanagan was a SportsCenter reporter who covered the Lakers Dodgers Angels UCLA USC, and Chargers. Also, she been covering spring training for the NBA playoffs, college football bowl games, the NCAA Basketball tournament for men and did a weekly segment on NFL Monday Night Countdown. At ESPN she helped launch an entertainment themed segment for SportsCenter called "Hollywood Highlights" and was the co-host of the Home Depot College Football Awards and ESPN Classic road shows.
